TLC Workshop: Assigning Writing in the Decade of AI with Dr. Steven Watts In-Person / Online
This workshop will explore the purpose of writing as an assessment tool, how to use that purpose to create an effective writing assignment, and how to incentivize students to engage with writing assignments. We will look at scholarship from leading writing pedagogues John Warner and Michele Eodice to think about what practices work across the disciplines and what instances may night discipline specific practices. By the end of this workshop, participants will have a framework for assessing their own writing assignments and retooling them where desired.
